Posted: 04/14/2008
The Knoxville Police Department is proud to announce that two youth academies will be offered this summer.

Both day camps are free of charge and offered to successful Knox County students. They seek to build leadership skills and positive relationships between students and officers.

The Student Police Academy for current high school students will be conducted June 2-13. The Youth Academy for current middle school students will be conducted June 16-20.

Enrollment is limited to 20 students in each academy.  Both camps involve a high degree of participation in activities.

Sponsored by the University of Tennessee, Law Enforcement Innovation Center.
