Solar 101 Workshop Saturday

Posted: 12/11/2008
The City of Knoxville’s Solar America Cities Program is sponsoring "Solar 101 - Solar Basics for the Home" on Saturday, December 13 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Visitor Center at Ijams Nature Center at 2915 Island Home Avenue.

This free workshop will teach the basics of solar technologies available for home installation and provide a step-by-step introduction to "going solar" with your home.

The workshop will address the incentives and financing options available for people interested in implementing solar technology, discuss best practices for hiring installers, and look at the differences in installing solar in new homes and older homes.

To RSVP the workshop please contact Gil Melear-Hough at 865-789-5482 or at gil@cleanenergy.org
