Posted: 04/11/2016
EarthFestRain or shine, EarthFest 2016 will be held on Saturday, April 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the World’s Fair Park performance lawn in downtown Knoxville. There will be over 60 exhibitors and attractions, and as always, it’s a free, zero-waste event for the whole family, including your pets.

Over the past 17 years, EarthFest has become East Tennessee’s premier Earth Day event. And it’s not simply a celebration of the planet. From an interactive educational scavenger hunt and live music, to kid-friendly activities and a fuel-efficient car showcase, EarthFest has something for everyone.

Onsite events and activities will include:

• Live music on the stage: 11 a.m. How About Never; 12:30 p.m. Deadbeat Scoundrels; 2:15 p.m. 3 Mile Smile; 4 p.m. Natty’s Common Root

• Educational scavenger hunt for a chance to win prizes

• Youth area with free kids crafts: Decorating rain barrels for Beardsley Farm; Face painting; Making bracelets out of upcycled materials; Crafting vests out of recycled paper bags; Making seed starters out of toilet paper tubes; Turning t-shirts into reusable bags; Using t-shirts to create dog toys
