KUB Lane Closures on Fifth Ave., Fair Dr., Pinewood Dr.

Due to utility work, KUB will have lane closures on Fifth Ave., Fair Dr. and Pinewood Dr.

(Old City) Fifth Avenue Lane/N. Central Intersection Closure [November 28 – January 2017]
– KUB contract crews will close the eastbound lanes of Fifth Avenue between N. Gay Street and Lamar Street, from 6 a.m., Monday, November 28, through early January 2017, as work continues on the N. Central Street Streetscapes Project. One westbound lane will remain open during this time. Eastbound traffic will be detoured via Magnolia Avenue. Northbound and southbound traffic on N. Central Street will also be closed between Magnolia Avenue and Fifth Avenue as part of this work. Northbound traffic will be detoured via Magnolia Avenue to N. Gay Street or Hall of Fame Drive. The traffic control measures currently in plane on N. Central Street between Magnolia Avenue and the railroad tracks will remain in place. 

(North Knoxville) Fair Drive Road Closure [November 28 – December 2]
– KUB contract crews will close a short section of Fair Drive to through traffic between Inskip Road and Heins Road, daily from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday, November 28, through Friday, December 2, as work is performed on the wastewater collection system in the area. Alternate routes include E. Inskip Road, Fair Drive, Cedar Lane, Heins Road, and Charles Drive. Local traffic access to driveways will be maintained. Follow-up advisories will be issued as necessary. 

(North Knoxville) Pinewood Drive Road Closure [November 28- December 2]
– KUB contract crews will close a short section of Pinewood Drive, between Raven Drive and Garden Drive, daily from 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., starting Monday, November 28, and lasting through Friday, December 2, as work is performed on the wastewater collection system in the area. Alternate routes include Garden Drive, Villa Road, and Raven Drive. Local traffic access to driveways will be maintained, and all lanes will reopen outside of listed work hours. Signs will be on site to assist with traffic control. 

Some listed closures may extend beyond the scheduled times depending on the conditions encountered during excavation and construction. Appropriate traffic control measures will be in place at each location to assist motorists traveling in these areas. Due to the ongoing presence of workers and equipment, motorists are advised to use caution and expect temporary delays in these areas.
