Directions: From I-40, Merge onto I-75 N. Take I-640 E toward ASHEVILLE. Take the WASHINGTON PIKE/MALL ROAD SOUTH exit- EXIT 8- toward MILLERTOWN PIKE. Turn RIGHT onto WASHINGTON PIKE. Turn RIGHT onto VALLEY VIEW DR. Turn LEFT onto ALICE BELL RD. End at 3511 Alice Bell Rd.


Richard Leake Recreation Center is located in Alice Bell Ballfields in northeast Knoxville. The center's recreation opportunities are enhanced by the six surrounding baseball/softball fields. The recreation center also has a playground, an indoor basketball facility, and a game/meeting room.


HOURS OF OPERATION

The operating hours for Richard Leake Recreation Center typically consist of Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday (1:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.),  Wednesday (10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.), and Friday (10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.). However, when Knox County Schools are closed for in-service days, certain holidays or prolonged breaks, hours change to 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. on the day(s) of the week effected.  If you have a questions about changes in hours, programs or center availability, please contact each center specifically.

RULES AND REGULATIONS IN CITY RECREATION CENTERS

The following are prohibited in city recreation centers:

1) Possession of firearms and weapons
2) Possession of drugs, alcohol, or any elicit substance
3) Smoking or use of tobacco products
4) Gambling
5) Use of profanity
6) Fighting
7) Dunking or hanging on rims of basketball goals
8) Pets
9) Only indoor court shoes allowed (ex: tennis shoes or non-marking soles)

Violation of these rules or any other rules set by individual centers may result in suspension from this center and others. Suspension terms will be set by each center.
