Papermill Bluff Greenway can be viewed along I-40 at the Papermill Road exit. The greenway begins at the Red Roof Inn on Kirby Rd. and ends at Weisgarber Greenway on Weisgarber Rd. near the Church of the Savior.

This greenway has several hills overlooking I-40 and Bearden Hill. On clear days, some peaks on the greenway offer beautiful views of the Great Smoky Mountains.

Papermill Bluff Greenway was designed primarily as a commuter route, though it does offer recreation opportunities to nearby neighborhoods and businesses. Future plans for Papermill Bluff Greenway include connecting south along Fourth Creek to Lakeshore Greenway in Lakeshore Park, which is currently the most heavily used greenway in Knoxville.
