Mary James Park Playground
Children play on the accessible playground in Mary James Park.

Directions: Go south on Gay Street over the Gay Street Bridge. Veer left through the light onto Sevier Avenue. At RR crossing sign, veer left onto Island Home Avenue. Continue straight (do not turn toward Ijams) and that street becomes South Haven Road. Park is located about 3/10 of a mile on your left.

Two playground areas complement Mary James Park — the newest is accessible to those with disabilities. Picnic tables alongside the small creek bisecting the park invite you to enjoy lunch, chat with friends or immerse yourself in a book. Bike racks are provided so pack up the kids and a lunch and venture over to enjoy this neighborhood oasis. Get together with friends for a game of tennis or practice some free throws on the basketball court.
