Members of the Business Advisory Council (BAC) serve in an advisory and partnership capacity to promote regular and open communication between city government and businesses to:
- Give advice and feedback to the Office of Business Support
- Bring issues and concerns related to doing business in Knoxville to the attention of the city administration
- Propose responses and solutions to address these concerns
- Serve as a sounding board for city initiatives and proposals affecting business
The BAC is composed of a diverse group of business owners.

APPOINTMENT OF COUNCIL MEMBERS
Members of the Business Advisory Council (BAC) are appointed by the Mayor and meet every other month. Members serve two-year terms to insure that, over time, a large number of representatives from the Knoxville business community have a voice and to encourage new perspectives.
The BAC meets every other month from 8:30-10 a.m. in Room 549 in the City County Building.
