Posted: 09/12/2016
Mayor Madeline Rogero and City staff will hold a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) awards ceremony on Wednesday, Sept. 14 in the Small Assembly Room starting at 8 a.m.

DBEs (small women-owned and minority-owned businesses) will be recognized for outstanding performance that advances one or more of the City of Knoxville’s core goals:

• Promoting sustainable operations and communities;
• Encouraging active, engaged neighborhoods;
• Stimulating robust growth with quality business expansion and retention; and
• Energizing the core and expanding outward.

City departments that have achieved outstanding results in awarding a large number of contracts to DBEs will also be recognized.

Anyone needing a disability accommodation in order to attend the ceremony can contact City ADA Coordinator Stephanie Brewer Cook at 865-215-2034 or [email protected].

For an English interpreter, contact the City’s Law Department at 865-215-2050.
