The Knoxville Fire Department (KFD) will celebrate Fire Prevention Week by hosting
An Evening With The Firefighters on Market Square on Oct. 13 starting at 5 p.m.
During the celebration, the public can listen to live music from The Chillbillies, view antique fire apparatus, enjoy roasted marshmallows around an old fashion fire pit, and watch local vintage fire department films.
There will also be demonstrations teaching folks how to properly use fire extinguishers and how to perform CPR.
Additional fire department divisions will be available to answer any questions.
A hazardous material unit along with an aerial truck will be on display.
