(West Knoxville) Lyons View Pike Lane Closure [February 2 & 3] – KUB crews will reduce a short section of Lyons View Pike to one alternating lane of traffic between the Cherokee Country Club on Lyons View Pike and Harley Road from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Tuesday, February 2, and Wednesday, February 3, as work is performed on the water distribution system in the area. The westbound lane will be closed while the eastbound lane will remain open to alternate traffic. Flagmen will be on site to assist with traffic control. Thursday, February 4, will be used as a rain date if necessary.     
  
(North Knoxville) Washington Avenue Road Closure [February 8 – March 4] – KUB and its contractor will close a short section of Washington Avenue between N. Sixth Avenue and Mitchell Street from 7 a.m., Monday, February 8, until 5 p.m., Friday, March 4, as work is performed on the natural gas distribution system in the area. Due to construction limitations, this section of roadway will NOT be reopened overnight and on weekends during this time. Traffic will be detoured via Mitchell Street, Ninth Avenue, Gillespie Ave, and N. Sixth Avenue. Follow up advisories will be issued as necessary.     

Some listed closures may extend beyond the scheduled times depending on the conditions encountered during excavation and construction. Appropriate traffic control measures will be in place at each location to assist motorists traveling in these areas. Due to the ongoing presence of workers and equipment, motorists are advised to use caution and expect temporary delays in these areas.
