KUB Wastewater Work Occurring Adjacent to Second Creek on Eastern Edge of UT Campus

Posted: 06/10/2016
KUB Wastewater workStarting Monday, June 13, Knoxville Utilities Board wastewater collection system rehabilitation work occurring adjacent to Second Creek on the eastern edge of the University of Tennessee campus near Staff Parking Lot S7 (off Cumberland Avenue east of Estabrook Road) and Staff/Student Parking Lot S7/C15 (near Second Creek Greenway and the railroad crossing off Neyland Drive), will require an increased presence of construction vehicles, equipment, and workers as part of ongoing KUB Century II utility infrastructure upgrades.

This project is expected to last through mid September 2016.

Both parking areas, the connecting walkways, and Second Creek Greenway and Neyland Greenway passing under Neyland Drive, will remain open for the duration of this project.  As construction progresses there will be a short closure of Second Creek Greenway to Neyland Greenway near the trail bridge to the Neyland Drive roadway crossing. Additional information, including detour routes, will be released ahead of that greenway closure, once dates and details have been finalized.

KUB thanks the University of Tennessee and City of Knoxville Parks and Recreation for their assistance with this project, and its customers for their cooperation. Customers with questions or concerns can call 865-558-2330 after normal business hours to leave a message that will be followed-up with a call from a KUB representative by the end of the next business day.
