City's Outdoor Pools to Open Memorial Day Weekend

Posted: 05/23/2018
The City of Knoxville Parks and Recreation Department will open its two outdoor public pools for residents to beat the heat this Memorial Day weekend. Both the Ed Cothren (1737 Reynolds St.) and Inskip (4204 Bruhin Road) pools will welcome visitors starting 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 26, 2018.

Pool hours throughout the summer are: Monday-Saturday 11 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday 1-6 p.m. (weather permitting, of course).

Both pools and their corresponding concession stands now accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover for payment. Admission is $4 per person per visit at Inskip Pool and $3 per person per visit at Ed Cothren Pool.

This year, the City is introducing a “Splash Pass” to frequent pool users, who will be given a plastic card that is punched for a certain number of pool admissions.

Splash Passes may be purchased at the pools for:
• Inskip Pool – 10 admissions for $33; 20 admissions for $60
• Ed Cothren Pool – 10 admissions for $25; 20 admissions for $45
