Victim identified from fatal shooting in Walter P. Taylor Homes (September 11, 2020, 12:00 p.m.)

The victim from the fatal shooting that occurred on Thursday, September 10, 2020 in the 200 block of Odd Fellows Street has been identified as Sheri Katulich, 57, of New Market, Tennessee. At approximately 8:15 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2020, Knoxville Police Department officers responded to the 200 block of Odd Fellows Street in reference to a shooting with victim. Upon arrival, a female victim was found in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The circumstances of the shooting are unclear and there is no suspect information at this time. Violent Crime Unit investigators and Crime Lab personnel responded to the scene to begin the investigation, which remains in the preliminary stages. The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Anyone with information regarding the shooting is urged to call the Crime Hotline at 865-215-7212.
