Investigators Continuing to Seek Info on 2020 Murder of Aseal Iysheh
On the one-year anniversary of the fatal shooting of 24-year-old Aseal Iysheh, Knoxville Police Department Violent Crimes Unit investigators are continuing to seek information to assist their investigation into her murder.
The family of Aseal Iysheh, with assistance from private entities, has increased its reward offering to up to $50,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for her murder.
On June 11, 2020 at around 9:30 p.m., KPD officers responded to the BJ’s Food Mart located at 2310 E. Magnolia Avenue, where Aseal was found deceased in the parking lot from multiple gunshots. Witnesses described the suspect as a black male wearing a hoody. Investigators have reason to believe there were numerous additional people who were in the parking lot at the time of the incident and witnessed the shooting, but those individuals have yet to come forward with any information relevant to the investigation.
While investigators are continuing to pursue any and all active leads, there have not yet been any suspects arrested or charged in connection to her death.
Anyone with information regarding the shooting or the person or persons responsible is asked to contact Investigator Jason Booker at 865-215-7320 or email
