Community Engagement Response Team Arrests Wanted Felon Following Attempted Traffic Stop
Last night at around 9:15 p.m., Community Engagement Response Team officers attempted to stop a white Honda Civic known to be driven by wanted felon Johnny Page on Whittle Springs Road at Cecil Avenue. As officers attempted to initiate the stop, the vehicle did not stop and fled eastbound on Cecil Avenue. After a short pursuit, the vehicle stopped in the 3100 block of Kenilworth and the suspect fled from the vehicle. Officers were able to capture the suspect without incident following a brief foot pursuit.

The suspect was identified as Johnny Page, 20 of Knoxville, Tennessee. Page had outstanding warrants out of Knox County for violation of probation on aggravated robbery and attempted first degree murder charges as well as an outstanding warrant for aggravated robbery from an incident that occurred at an apartment complex on Adair Drive on October 3.

Page was taken into custody for the outstanding warrants and also charged with reckless driving, evading arrest and possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia. He has since been booked into the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility.
