Trees Planted in Old City
Trees Planted in Old City
Contractor crews this week have finished planting large street trees on the north side of Jackson Avenue in the Old City, between State and Central streets.
The tree plantings are among the finishing touches of a streetscape project along that stretch of West Jackson. A second streetscape project is underway just to the west, extending the sidewalks, landscaping and utility upgrades through to Broadway. Combined, the two streetscape projects total about $2 million.
So if you're in the Old City tonight for the 45th annual WIVK Christmas Parade, be sure and check out the new Jackson Avenue trees!
