Parks and Recreation Summer ...
Parks and Recreation Summer Camps, Classes, and Job Opportunities Around the Corner!
Adventure is out there—or in Knoxville’s case, right in our backyard. As summer approaches, Knoxville Parks and Recreation offers plenty of opportunities to have fun!
K.O.R.E. Summer Camp
Ten community centers throughout the city will offer a recently revamped K.O.R.E. Summer Camp (stands for Knoxville Outdoor Recreation Experience) to six- to twelve- year-olds. Additionally, Cal Johnson Recreation Center will offer a teen camp for 13- to 15-year olds.
Kids will enjoy activities and field trips, including swimming, arts and crafts, intramural sports, passive games, and trips to the movie theater, Main Event, NASCAR Speedpark, Kentucky Splash Waterpark, and more!
The camps will be held Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., June 4, 2018, through July 27, 2018. No camp will be held July 2 through July 6.
