Aqua Zumba Hits Inskip Pool ...
Aqua Zumba Hits Inskip Pool this Summer
The well-known dance workout, Zumba, has now taken a dive in a new direction!
Aqua Zumba will now take place at Inksip Pool, located at 4204 Bruhin Rd., every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Since class started on June 4, participants varying in age spread out in the pool’s shallow end to follow the direction of the Zumba instructor and “dance away some calories.”
“Aqua Zumba is a really great way to work out since the water will keep you nice and cool while doing vigorous exercises,” said Maddie Love, a lifeguard at Inskip Pool. “The resistance of the water also makes for a much better workout, than simply on land.”
“Instead of just aerobic movements, [the participants] actually use their whole body to move
throughout the water… you’re keeping cool, you’re with friends, so it’s a different environment
that welcomes people of all ages and abilities.”
Aqua Zumba at the Inskip Pool costs $3 per class and will be an on-going trend for the summer.
