Nine new swim platforms are in place at Augusta Quarry.

In the eyes of many, East Tennessee looks beautiful in a blanket of snow.

It's hard to argue with that, seeing this view last week of Augusta Quarry from the Harold Lambert Overlook.

Note the new swimming platforms!

The nine floating beaches are all installed and secured. There's one long linear dock and the large circular platform further out into the quarry lake. In addition, there's a scattering of seven additional small swim platforms.

Work on the new bathrooms and changing rooms and the improved pedestrian path to the water's edge is continuing. Anticipate enjoying warmer weather with a grand reopening of the quarry in the coming months!
