Neighborhood Conference Invites T-shirt Contest Entries
Neighborhood organizations, is there a graphic designer in your midst? Put him or her to work on a T-shirt design to enter in the 2017 Neighborhood Conference’s T-Shirt Contest.
New T-shirt designs (not previous years’ winners) are sought that express the unique qualities and personality of a neighborhood. Is your ‘hood known for its flower beds and wrought iron? Its proximity to tacos? Its prevalence of Chihuahuas? Put it on a T-shirt!
Per the official entry sheet: Designs will be judged on artistry, creativity, originality and the ability to communicate a clear and positive message about your neighborhood. Here's my T-shirt tribute to the amazing kettle of vultures I saw in my neighborhood last week:
One T-shirt sporting the design needs to be submitted as early as March 6 but no later than 8 a.m. March 11 at the conference’s information booth. First, Second and Third place winners will be announced during lunch that very day. Entries become the property of the City of Knoxville, so make sure you make at least two shirts: one to submit and one to wear when you’re asked to represent your Neighborhood Group on stage.

. And if you share your design ideas on Twitter or Instagram, tag them with #KnoxNeighbors!
