Try Transit Week: Mayor on B...
Try Transit Week: Mayor on Board!
Great lunch at Central Flats and Taps on Monday with area business owners and Council members Finbarr Saunders and George Wallace. And, because it’s Try Transit Week, it was especially fitting to ride the KAT Route 20 bus to get there. As KAT’s hashtag puts it: #KATGoesThere!
During Try Transit Week, KAT has a full week of events planned. It’s a celebration of KAT’s momentum and new services, and it’s also an invitation to people who haven’t used transit services to give KAT a try.
KAT has launched its new website this week –
www.katbus.com
. It’s easy to use and is a wonderful tool for everyone, including new transit riders. For example, try the Transit Trip Planner. You just type in where you’re starting from, and where you want to go, and you can get simple step-by-step directions for using KAT to reach your destination. Plus, with KAT’s new website, you can also sign up to receive text and email alerts notifying you if your route goes on detour.
Looking for another good reason to try transit this week? Here’s a good one: On Friday, June 23, all rides on KAT will be
fare-free all day
.
If you’re not a regular transit rider, check out KAT this week. There’s a lot to like – such as improvements made over the past three years to 14 routes, with more frequent rides and expanded weekend services, and free wifi on all buses. It’s Try Transit Week;
