Sign Up for Texts: Get the Most Current Cumberland Avenue Traffic Updates
Utility work is moving at a fast pace throughout the Cumberland Avenue Corridor. Need to know where the orange barrels are right now - and where they're going to be next week?
Visit
www.CumberlandConnect.com
or the Cumberland Connect Facebook page,
www.facebook.com/CumberlandConnect
- or download the Cumberland Connect phone app.
You'll find news, traffic updates, maps and construction schedules. There's always a look ahead of what's scheduled two weeks out.
Now, Cumberland Avenue area motorists, property owners, residents and students can get text messages about the most current construction-related traffic updates. Simply text "streetscape" to 313131 to sign up for the text alerts.
On Wednesday, Knoxville Mayor Madeline Rogero, City Council members and dozens of Cumberland Avenue merchants, stakeholders and reconstruction project partners cut an orange ribbon to officially dedicate the new and improved western end of Cumberland Avenue. Phase I of the City of Knoxville’s $17 million Cumberland Avenue reconstruction has been completed – on time and within budget.
Check out the 6-minute photo gallery on the Cumberland Connect website and app that highlights the Phase I improvements.
