Tonight: Free Showing of Documentary About Civil Rights Hero Viola Liuzzo 
Viola LiuzzoViola Liuzzo was a 39-year-old housewife and mother of five children when she drove from Detroit to Selma, Ala., to volunteer in the march to Montgomery for voting rights in 1965. She was murdered by members of the Ku Klux Klan while shuttling marchers and volunteers to airports and bus stops.

Tonight, there will be a free screening of Home of the Brave, a 2004 documentary about Liuzzo, at 6 p.m. at the East Tennessee History Center, 601 S. Gay St. Popcorn and soft drinks will be provided.
