Free Wi-Fi on KAT Buses, Trolleys: Check Out How-To Video for Going Digital

It sure sounds relaxing: Ride a Knoxville Area Transit bus in to work, and forget about traffic hassles or parking. And now, with free Wi-Fi available on all KAT buses and trolleys and at the Knoxville Station Transit Center, you can read and answer your emails before you even reach the office – or catch up on the latest breaking news.

KAT has prepared a how-to video that shows just how easy it is to go digital aboard a KAT bus.

KAT has more technological improvements on the way. In addition to Wi-Fi and Google Transit trip planning, KAT is working on an upgraded website that will offer improved compatibility with smart phones, easy access to route and schedule information and trip planning, and a feature that will allow passengers to sign up for and receive route-specific text alerts.  The new website is scheduled to launch this summer.

For more information on KAT or to plan your trip, visit katbus.com or call 865-637-3000. For regular updates, like KAT on Facebook at facebook.com/knoxvilleareatransit or follow KAT on Twitter @kat_bus.
