Violent Crimes Unit Investigating Overnight Stabbing on Summit Hill Drive
On Thursday, July 16 at approximately 1 a.m., investigators with the Knoxville Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit responded to a stabbing that occurred at the Weigel’s located at 411 E. Summit Hill Drive.
Upon arrival, investigators learned that the victim, identified as 32-year-old Clifton Hall, had been rushed to the UT Medical Center in serious condition from a stab wound. According to witnesses, the victim allegedly attempted to start a fight in front of the business before he was stabbed by an unknown black male, who fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers. At this time, the victim remains in critical condition.
There are no suspects in custody and the investigation is ongoing at this time. Anyone with information concerning the incident or those involved is asked to call the Crime and Drug Hotline at 865-215-7212. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
