Victim Identified from North Knoxville Shooting (October 12, 2020, 5:25 p.m.)
The victim from the shooting that occurred on Monday, October 12, 2020 near the 1900 block of Texas Avenue has been identified as Demario Lowery (DOB 9/9/94) of Detroit, Michigan. There are no suspects in custody and the investigation remains ongoing at this time. On Monday, October 12, 2020 at about 12:45 a.m., Knoxville Police Department officers responded to a shooting with victim in parking lot B of Lonsdale Homes near the 1900 block of Texas Avenue. Upon arrival, a male gunshot victim was found inside of a Chrysler 300 that had wrecked into a parked Ford Expedition in the parking lot. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. A witness stated that a black male wearing red shorts and a white shirt fled from the vehicle prior to officer arrival.
