Shooting on Dandridge Avenue
On Thursday, June 10, 2021 at around 1:30 p.m., Knoxville Police Department officers responded to a shooting with a victim on Dandridge Avenue near Morningside Park. A 29-year-old male victim was located and transported to the UT Medical Center with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Based on the preliminary investigation, the victim and two other individuals were walking on Dandridge Avenue when an unknown suspect in a black SUV fired multiple rounds at the group. Violent Crimes Unit investigators responded to the scene to begin the investigation, which remains in the preliminary stages.
