Pedestrian Killed in Alcoa H...
Pedestrian Killed in Alcoa Highway Crash
On Thursday, June 17, 2021 at around 1:45 a.m., Knoxville Police Department officers responded to a crash involving a pedestrian on Alcoa Highway near Topside Road. Upon arrival at the scene, officers were advised that the pedestrian involved in the collision was deceased. Crash reconstruction personnel responded to the scene to investigate the crash. Based on the preliminary investigation, it is believed that the female pedestrian was attempting to cross Alcoa Highway when she was subsequently struck by a passenger vehicle as well as a second passenger vehicle seconds later. At this time, all involved parties are accounted for and the investigation is ongoing.
