Drug and Guns Arrests for Week of February 14
This past week, Knoxville Police Department officers either arrested or charged 57 individuals between the ages of 16 and 62 with either weapon or drug charges.
In a review of KPD incident reports submitted between Monday, February 14 and Sunday, February 20, KPD officers also confiscated at least the following: 21 firearms that were possessed in violation of state law, over 300 grams of meth, nearly 10 grams of heroin, approximately 2.5 grams of cocaine, 2.5 grams of ecstasy, 246 pills, almost 12 grams of unknown narcotics, over 120 pieces of drug paraphernalia and over $16,000 in cash from drug sales and distribution.
The charges from those incidents included five for possession of a weapon during the commission of a felony, four for unlawful possession of a weapon, two for possession of a weapon while under the influence, 17 for manufacture, sale or delivery of a controlled substance, two for possession of a stolen firearm, and three for auto theft among a variety of additional charges.
Removing deadly and addictive narcotics and illegally-owned firearms from the community is a top priority for the Knoxville Police Department. The community can assist in those efforts as well by contacting East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers regarding ongoing drug activity, the whereabouts of a wanted fugitive or information that could assist in an ongoing investigation.
Crime Stoppers is available anytime, day or night, through one of four avenues. It can be reached by phone at 865-215-7165, online at

, via the P3 Tips mobile app or by texting **TIPS. Tipsters can remain anonymous and be eligible to receive a cash reward if their tip leads to an arrest or the confiscation of narcotics.
