Last week, Knoxville Police Department officers either arrested or misdemeanor cited 51 individuals between the ages of 15 and 65 with weapon or drug charges.

In a review of KPD incident reports from events that occurred between Monday, March 21 and Sunday, March 27, KPD officers also seized at the least the following: 17 firearms that were possessed in violation of state law, over 47 grams of meth, over 16 grams of heroin, nearly 10 grams of cocaine, over 500 pieces of drug paraphernalia, approximately 50 pills and over $10,000 in cash from suspected drug sales and distribution.

Among the charges from those incidents, officers charged multiple individuals with unlawful possession of a weapon, convicted felon in possession of a weapon, and manufacture, sale or delivery of a controlled substance.

The citizens of Knoxville can assist in those ongoing efforts by remaining vigilant and reporting any suspicious activity. Citizens can provide information to the KPD while staying completely anonymous.
