David Jordan, 49, Arrested Following Meth and Heroin Distribution Investigation
49-year-old David Jordan was arrested on multiple felony weapon and drug charges on Tuesday, September 27 as part of a drug distribution investigation that was led by the Knoxville Police Department’s Organized Crime Unit and DEA Task Force officers.

The investigation began after Jordan was identified as a source of supply in the Western Avenue area by the 7th Judicial District Crime Task Force. Officers became aware that Jordan was transporting a large amount of methamphetamine and conducted a traffic stop at 3930 Western Avenue. Officers searched his truck after a K-9 detected the smell of narcotics and located approximately eight ounces of suspected meth during the search.

Following the traffic stop, OCU investigators with the assistance of the KPD Special Operations Squad and DEA agents executed a state search warrant at Jordan’s home on Keith Avenue, which was identified over the course of the investigation as a site for drug distribution. During the search, officers found two loaded handguns, approximately two pounds of suspected meth, around two ounces of suspected heroin and a fully operational marijuana grow operation.

Jordan, who has a prior federal felony conviction for conspiracy to distribute controlled substances in Michigan as well as a prior state felony drug distribution conviction in Pennsylvania, was charged with the following as a result of the operation:

- Convicted Felon in Possession of a Weapon
- Possession of a Firearm During a Dangerous Felony
- Sale and Delivery of Meth
- Sale and Delivery of Heroin
- Manufacture of Marijuana
- Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

The KPD is grateful to the 7th Judicial District Crime Task Force for their significant contributions to the investigation.
