Victim Found Dead on Holston Hills Road Identified (Tuesday, October 11, 2022, 11:20 a.m.)

The gunshot victim who was found dead on Holston Hills Road on Monday night has been identified as Brandon Smiles, 27 of Warren, Michigan.

The investigation remains ongoing at this time. At around 8:30 p.m. on Monday, October 10, 2022, Knoxville Police Department officers responded to the 3500 block of Holston Hills Road next to the Holston River Park. A 9-1-1 caller reported finding an unresponsive man lying in the road. Officers arrived on scene and located the man, who had been shot at least one time. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was identified as a 27-year-old man.

There is no suspect information and the investigation is in the early stages at this time.
