Drug Overdose Support Group Meetings to Resume This Friday
The monthly Drug Overdose Support Group meetings for parents, children, siblings or other family members who have lost a loved one due to the drug overdose epidemic will resume this Friday, August 14 with safeguards in place.

The purpose of this group is to help family members deal with their loss by showing support, but most importantly, showing they are not alone and that there are others who have gone through or are going through the same devastation. Two of the coordinators are mothers who have lost sons to the drug epidemic.

Prior registration is not required. There are no costs to attend the support group. Amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, those attending will be required to wear a face covering and practice physical distancing of at least six feet.

The meeting will be held from 6-8 p.m. this Friday in the City Court Room located at the Knoxville Police Department Public Safety Building. The Safety Building is located at 800 Howard Baker Jr. Avenue, Knoxville, TN, 37915.
