KPD Seeking Information in Murder of Muhammad Allen  
As the investigation into the fatal shooting of 41-year-old Knoxville native Muhammad Allen continues, Knoxville Police Department Violent Crimes Unit investigators are seeking any information from anybody who witnessed the shooting, was in the area of 2710 Louise Avenue at around the time of the shooting or had contact with Mr. Allen at any point on Monday, May 17. 
 
At around 1:15 p.m. on May 17, 2021, KPD officers responded to 2710 Louise Avenue on a report of shots fired. Mr. Muhammad was located inside of his vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced deceased by EMS personnel shortly after their arrival on scene. There is reason to believe there were witnesses to the shooting, but, at this stage of the investigation, no witnesses have come forward.
