Free Evening, Weekend Parkin...
Free Evening, Weekend Parking at Riverwalk Garage
Looking ahead to 2019: Say you're coming with your family to walk or bike the new South Waterfront greenways. (Two new pieces of the riverwalk are currently being constructed and linked together.) Or, maybe you want to attend a small festival gathering at Suttree Landing Park.
Where is the best place to park?
One option on evenings and weekends, available now, actually, is the Riverwalk Garage, formerly the Baptist Hospital Garage.
Recently, signs were put in place in the garage to delineate where visitors can park and which spaces are reserved for residential and corporate tenants.
To find designated evening and weekend public parking in the Riverwalk Garage, enter the garage from Kay Street and head up to levels 4 through 6. Park in any space individually marked with a yellow and olive sign emblazoned with a large “P,” designating public parking. (Reserved spaces for Riverwalk and Regal tenants will be marked as well, so you can tell the difference.)
The public parking is available, and free, after 6 p.m. on weeknights and on weekends.
So if you’re an evening or weekend visitor to the South Waterfront, be sure to park in one of the public spaces marked with an olive “P” in the middle of a yellow circle.
