North and South Knoxville First to Get New City Garbage Carts
Starting Thursday, Dec. 1, the first of 60,000 new garbage carts will be rolling out to City households in two key areas of town.
Residents in parts of South and North Knoxville will be getting carts in the next several days. The crews will be starting in the more outlying areas and working their way toward the city center. Initially, South Knoxville residents on the western side of Chapman Highway and North Knoxville residents in the Fountain City/Clinton Highway areas will receive their carts in the first round of deliveries.
Residents should begin using the new garbage carts on Jan. 2. Information is attached to the cart, and additional details can be found at
www.knoxvilletn.gov/garbage
or by calling the city at 311.
Stay tuned here for more details!
