The City’s Plans Review and Inspections Department will host a public meeting on the adoption of International Code Council construction codes from 9-11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 2.
The meeting will be held at the City’s Public Works Service Center, 3131 Morris Ave. City officials will give an overview of the code adoption and open the floor to questions.
After six months of reviewing the City’s existing construction codes, staff from the department made presentations over four days – July 30 through Aug. 2, 2018.
The codes affect:
• New buildings;
• Additions and alterations to existing buildings;
• Swimming pools and spas;
• Energy conservation;
• Plumbing, fuel gas, and mechanical; and
• Electrical.
