Non-profit organizations may apply for more than $82,000 awarded to the City of Knoxville to provide services for homeless individuals.
Grant recipients must provide matching funds or allowable in-kind contributions equal to the ESG funds awarded. The program is operated on a reimbursement basis; projects do not receive advance funds.
Applications will be rated based on how the proposal supports the goals identified in the 2004 Knoxville/Knox County Continuum of Care for the Homeless; the capacity of the applicant's organization to carry out a quality program/project within a one year contract period; and the availability of other resources and match needed to carry out the program/project.
Application packets are available beginning today by calling 865-215-2120 or from the City's web site at www.knoxvilletn.gov/development.
Completed applications must be received in the Community Development office by 4:30 p.m., Friday, March 4.
