The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced today that area residents and businesses who suffered losses during the Feb. 28, storms can apply for low-interest loans from the SBA.
The City of Knoxville's 311 worked with the Knoxville-Knox County Emergency Management Agency in the days following the storm to collect information from area residents about the extent of the damage during the flooding.
The data was used to determine if the area qualified for federal disaster assistance and was forwarded by the Knoxville-Knox County Emergency Management Agency to the State of Tennessee.
