SmartFIX40 on National Geographic Channel

Posted: 07/13/2006
At a $190 million cost, "SmartFIX40" is the largest roadway construction project in the 90-year history of the Tennessee Department of Transportation.

During the past several months, film crews have been documenting the construction activities on the SmartFIX40 project site.

The National Geographic Channel will feature the project during an upcoming show called "Tools of the Trade: Road Building". The basis of this show is to follow road building machinery, from the factory to the jobsite. The show's producers describe it as a "Bob the Builder" type of show for adults.

The show will be airing on the National Geographic Channel during the following times:

Sunday, August 13 at 10 p.m. EST
Monday, August 14 at 1 a.m. EST
Saturday, August 19 at 10 p.m. EST
Sunday, August 20 at 1 a.m. EST
Sunday, August 27 and 1 p.m. EST
