ETTAC is giving away old, but usable assistive technology

Posted: 06/05/2009
As part of its device reuse program, on Friday, June 19th the East Tennessee Technology Access Center will be giving away outdated, but still working and usable assistive technology devices, including wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, hospital beds, and other durable medical equipment; computers, monitors and educational software; as well as devices and software for people with visual, hearing or speech disabilities.

All equipment will be tagged with a person's name who has requested equipment BEFORE June 19th. Please fax or email request that includes your name, day time phone number, and why you need this equipment to 865-219-0137 or [email protected].

A staff member will then call to confirm the need for the device and give instructions for pickup or delivery. Priority for devices will be given to individuals with disabilities rather than agencies.

ETTAC is located at 4918 N. Broadway in the Fountain City section of Knoxville.
