Tour de Lights Bike Ride Tonight

Posted: 12/12/2013
The City of Knoxville's 7th Annual Tour de Lights Bike Ride is Thursday, Dec. 12 staring at 7 p.m. in Market Square in Downtown Knoxville. The ride is presented by Downtown Knoxville.

Free bike safety checks and judging for the decorating contest start at 6 p.m.

Join us for this fun, free bike parade through downtown, 4th & Gill and Old North Knoxville.

Riders are encouraged to get creative with lights, costumes and decorations.

The route is about 5 miles long and takes about an hour to ride at a casual pace.

This year, all streets will be completely closed to traffic for the event.

Hot cocoa and treats are available thanks to Mast General Store and Three Rivers Market.

There are unique challenges that go along with riding among hundreds of bicyclists, so please read the ride guidelines.

Helmets are required along with a white front light and red rear reflector.

The ride is sponsored by the City of Knoxville, Downtown Knoxville, Mast General Store and Three Rivers Market, KnoxRevolution, and Smoky Mountain Wheelmen.
