Biscuit Festival Finalizes Selection Process for Biscuit Art Exhibition

April 22, 2014 - The International Biscuit Festival announced today that it has completed the selection of artwork for the Biscuit Art Exhibition 2014. The selected works will be exhibited throughout the month of May at Rala, Bliss Home and Coffee & Chocolate in downtown Knoxville. The Biscuit Art Exhibition features Biscuit-inspired artwork, including paintings, photography and folk art.

The exhibition was juried by David Butler, the executive director of the Knoxville Museum of Art, and Cindy Spangler, the former Collections Manager for the Ewing Gallery at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Submissions were received from across the United States.

One Best in Show award and two Merit awards will be presented at the Exhibition Opening Reception on May 2, 2014, 6-9 p.m. A total of $2,000 in cash prizes will be awarded. Announcement of winners will be at 6:30 p.m. outside Rala and Coffee & Chocolate with a Biscuit Reception to follow.

All selected artworks will be for available for purchase starting May 2, 2014 at 5pm exclusively at biscuitfest.com.
