Community Meeting with South Knoxville Waterfront Developers Nov. 13

November 4, 2014 - The South Knoxville Neighborhood and Business Coalition (SKNBC), City of Knoxville Office of Redevelopment staff, and the development team of Blanchard & Calhoun Commercial, Augusta, Ga. will hold a community meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 13 at Flenniken's Landing (multi-purpose room), 115 Flenniken Ave.

Everyone is invited to attend the community meeting. Representatives of Blanchard & Calhoun Commercial will present an update on their master plan to redevelop the former Baptist Hospital site.

Blanchard & Calhoun Commercial also will discuss the requested variances for the proposed 315-unit apartment complex as part of the Riverwalk at the Bridges project, which includes a public riverwalk and plaza and streetscape improvements along Blount Avenue.

JW Demolition crews are preparing the site, with demolition expected to be completed by January.
