UT Football on Vol Landing
UT Football Game Day at Volunteer Landing

This small linear park stretches along the Tennessee River providing ample fishing and paddling opportunities. At the far end of Volunteer Landing Park, the Lady Vols have their dock for the rowing team, you might catch them at practice!

Vol Landing water play fountain
Cool off in the water play fountains from late April-mid October

The Park features year-round fun on the swings but during the summer months, the water splash pads (CLOSED FOR 2021) are irresistible to the children strolling through the park with their parents. Walkers, runners and cyclists utilize the Neyland Greenway that winds through the Park.

Biking on Vol Landing

On it's linear route, it connects with the James White Greenway and the Third Creek Greenway. Just across Neyland Drive, the spur for the Second Creek Greenway borders the UT campus on its way to the World's Fair Park.

Volunteer Landing Dock
A new, city-owned public dock was installed at Volunteer Landing in April 2018.  The new dock was funded under a grant contract with the State of Tennessee. Learn more
