“Knoxville stands in solidarity with the communities and families in Dallas, Falcon Heights, Minn., and Baton Rouge who have experienced tragic losses of life this past week.
As we send out our thoughts and prayers, we as a community must continue to talk and share our perspectives, show respect to those with whom we might disagree, and work to resolve any differences.
I thank Chief Rausch and our law enforcement officers for embracing these conversations, and I laud their many initiatives to build community relationships and reach out to those they protect and serve."
