Due to utility maintenance, KUB will have lane closures on Kingston Pike and West Glenwood Ave.  on October 5, 2016.

(West Knoxville) Kingston Pike Lane Closure [October 5] – KUB contract crews will close a short section of the curbside, westbound lane of Kingston Pike, between Alcoa Highway and South Concord Street,  from  9 a.m. – 12 p.m., on Wednesday, October 5, as work is performed on the water distribution system in the area. Traffic flow in all directions will be maintained, and flaggers will be on site to assist with traffic control. 

(North Knoxville) West Glenwood Avenue Lane Closure [October 5] – KUB contract crews will reduce a section of West Glenwood Avenue to one alternating lane of traffic between East Scott Avenue and East Woodland Avenue from 7 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, as work is performed on the water distribution system in the area. The eastbound lane will be closed while the westbound lane remains open and is used to alternate traffic. Flaggers and signs will be on site to assist with traffic control. 
  
Some listed closures may extend beyond the scheduled times depending on the conditions encountered during excavation and construction. Appropriate traffic control measures will be in place at each location to assist motorists traveling in these areas. Due to the ongoing presence of workers and equipment, motorists are advised to use caution and expect temporary delays in these areas.
