The new version of KnoxPlans has a naming standard which is designed to provide better information to the review groups and allows for new tools which can speed up review times. There are two locations available to upload but these file have defined uses:
- The Drawings folder is where site plan, floor plans, civil drawings, and construction details are uploaded. These must be single-page PDF files and follow the naming standard below. Typically, the sheet number is located in the lower right-hand corner of a page (Examples: A1.0 or P-1). If there isn’t one, just create one. Having a sheet number can allow the reviewers to provide clear directions where changes are required.
- The Documents folder is where correspondence, support photos, truss packages, engineering specifications, stormwater flow calculations are uploaded. These may be multi-page PDF files and have more freedom with respect naming. Construction drawings do not go here.
