    GIRLS 14U MIDDLE SCHOOL SOFTBALL LEAGUE

    The Girls 14U Middle School League was developed to assist players in the transition from travel teams to school teams as they prepare for high school softball.  This is a recreational softball league that follows ASA rules with slight local rule variations.  Varsity and Junior Varsity divisions are offered (no 8th graders may play in the Jr. Varsity division).  


    PLAYER REGISTRATION

    Teams are developed of players at their middle school.  If a player's school has a team, the player must play for that team unless the player is "cut".  If a player is "cut" or their school doesn't have a team, the player may play for the nearest school.  Teams form outside the City youth sports commissions and are led by the team coaches.  Teams set their own player fees to cover costs of uniforms, equipment, etc.  Players must be in the 6th, 7th, or 8th grade to participate in the league.
